Wado-Ryu symbol refers to one of the 4 main Karate styles, founded by grandmaster Hironori Otsuka. This style is a hybrid of Okinawan karate and jujitsu. Wado-Ryu means “peaceful way”, which is reflected in both the emblem and the core of the style. Wado-Ryu karate is rather based on defense, harmonious management of the body, and ability to neutralize incoming attacks than on raw strength. After sparring with Wado Ryu master, both of you will come out of the fight unharmed. Wado Ryu necklace perfectly reflects this principle and looks like a dove with widespread wings and a clenched fist above it.
