Seido Karate symbol was coined by Tadashi Nakamura, a karate master and an apprentice of Masutatsu Oyama (the legendary founder of Kyokushin style). The word Seido means “sincere path” and implies the harmonious growth of the body and spirit. This fighting style allows students to become “balanced” and “complete” individuals who can self-improve and make the world they live in a better place. Seido necklace looks like a blue plum flower with 5 petals. The flower has 3 circles inside. The plum flower is a family emblem of Nakamura, and the circles inside the sign represent three main principles of Seido karate – love, obedience, and respect.
